Our recent Scots All Saints College Year 12 Valedictory Dinner held at Bathurst Goldfields was a wonderful evening thanks to Michelle and the team at Goldfields who ensured the planning was seamless and stress-free and the evening ran smoothly. Connection to Bathurst - History, Heritage & Heart
Bathurst is often called ‘Gold Country’, as it’s the place where Australia’s first payable gold was discovered in 1851 and the birthplace of the nation’s very first gold rush. That history still shapes the town today, and it flows through everything we do at the Goldfields. We’re honoured to keep that legacy alive, sharing stories and helping new generations learn about this town and regions history through educational programs and camps aligned with the NSW curriculum and our 1800s Colonial Re-enactment Village.
But Bathurst’s story doesn’t stop there. The region is also world-famous for motor racing, with Mount Panorama home to the Bathurst 1000, a 1,000-kilometre touring car race that attracts fans from around the globe. Our resort sits right on Conrod Straight, part of the iconic circuit itself, and every year we welcome guests who stay with us to be at the very heart of the action.

Can I stay during the Bathurst 1000, the 12hr and 6h Supercar Events?
Absolutely! Our location on Conrod Straight makes us one of the most sought-after stays during the Bathurst 1000 and other annual motorsport events. However, due to high demand, we recommend booking well in advance and contacting our team directly for availability.
How close are you to Bathurst town centre?
We are just a 5-minute drive from Bathurst CBD, you’ll have the convenience of town nearby with the calm of country surrounds at your doorstep.
Do you have Wi-Fi on site?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in our main accommodation and function areas. Please note that speeds may vary across the property due to our bushland setting.
Is linen provided in the accommodation?
Yes - all motel rooms, cabins, Heritage Lodge and The Residence include linen and towels. For group lodges and dormitory-style accommodation, linen can be arranged at the time of booking (additional fees apply).
How can I book a stay at Bathurst Goldfields Resort?
For a weekend getaway or cabin stay, you can book directly online. For group bookings, school camps, or busy event weekends (like the Bathurst 1000), please contact our team directly so we can make sure everything is arranged to suit your needs.
Are pets allowed at Bathurst Goldfields Resort?
At this stage we don’t allow animals on the property, except for registered guide and assistance dogs.

Accommodation check-in is 2pm, with check-out at 10am.
